Purchase
Agreement
Every Cane Corso puppy purchase contract from Cane Blue Kennel includes transparent terms, a written health guarantee, and a lifetime of breeder support.
Health at Time of Sale
Every Cane Blue Kennel puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to sale and is certified to be in good health at the time of departure. Each puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and has been dewormed according to our standard protocol.
The buyer must have the puppy examined by their own licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. This examination activates the health guarantee. Failure to complete this examination within the specified window voids all health guarantee provisions.
If the examining veterinarian finds the puppy to be in poor or unstable health at the time of this examination, the buyer must notify Cane Blue Kennel immediately in writing, providing a signed veterinary report. The puppy must be returned within 5 business days for the guarantee to apply.
Important: Cane Blue Kennel assumes no responsibility for any communicable disease, illness, or injury the puppy may contract after leaving our care. Do not allow your puppy to associate with unvaccinated or unknown dogs until fully vaccinated.
Cane Corso Puppy Purchase Contract: Health Guarantee

To make a guarantee claim, the buyer must provide: a full diagnostic report from a licensed veterinarian, documentation of the condition, the puppy’s microchip number, and proof of continued appropriate care. Cane Blue Kennel reserves the right to request a second veterinary opinion before any replacement is issued. No cash refunds are provided under any circumstances. Replacement only.
AKC Registration
Companion puppies are sold on Limited AKC Registration. Limited registration means the dog is registered with the AKC and may participate in most AKC events, performance programs, and titling competitions. However, any offspring produced by this dog are not eligible for AKC registration.
AKC registration paperwork will be provided to the buyer upon receipt of proof of spay or neuter from a licensed veterinarian. Until this proof is submitted to Cane Blue Kennel, registration papers will be held.
Spay / Neuter Requirement
All companion puppies must be spayed or neutered by 18 months of age. The buyer agrees to provide written veterinary confirmation of the procedure to Cane Blue Kennel upon completion. Failure to comply voids all remaining guarantee provisions and may result in Cane Blue Kennel pursuing return of the animal.
Companion puppies may not be used for breeding purposes under any circumstances. Any breeding using this animal constitutes a breach of this agreement.
Cane Corso Puppy Buyer Responsibilities
The buyer agrees to provide the puppy with appropriate and ongoing veterinary care for the duration of its life, including all necessary immunizations, parasite prevention, and heartworm protection.
The buyer agrees to provide adequate food, clean water, shelter, and exercise appropriate for the Cane Corso breed. We strongly recommend feeding a high-quality protein-based kibble or raw diet appropriate for large-breed dogs to support proper skeletal development during the puppy’s growth phase.
The buyer agrees not to overexert the puppy during its developmental period. A Cane Corso is not considered fully structurally mature until 24–30 months of age. Excessive running, jumping, or stair climbing before this age can cause lasting joint damage and will void the hip guarantee.
If you do not have the time, resources, or commitment to properly care for a Cane Corso — do not purchase one. This is a powerful, intelligent, and deeply loyal breed that requires appropriate investment in care, training, and relationship.
Training & Socialization
At Cane Blue Kennel, we have done everything in our power to produce stable, confident, well-socialized puppies — both through careful breeding selection and hands-on early development. It is the buyer’s responsibility to continue this process.
The buyer agrees to enroll the puppy in a puppy kindergarten class and at least one additional obedience course before the puppy reaches 18 months of age. This is not optional — it is a condition of this agreement. A well-trained Cane Corso is a safe, confident, and extraordinary companion. A neglected one is neither.
This dog may not be used in any illegal activity of any kind. The buyer assumes full legal responsibility for the dog’s behavior and any damage or injury it may cause after the date of purchase.
Delivery & Shipping
Puppies may be picked up directly from Cane Blue Kennel in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, or transported via our trusted nationwide shipping partners. All shipping arrangements are discussed and agreed upon prior to the puppy’s departure date.
All shipping, transport, and travel costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Cane Blue Kennel does not charge a delivery fee beyond the actual cost of transport. The puppy’s health guarantee begins at the time of pickup or delivery, not at the time of shipping departure.
In the event that shipping is delayed for reasons outside the control of Cane Blue Kennel (weather, airline policy, transport delays), no refunds or credits will be issued. We will work with you to reschedule at the earliest possible time.
Returns & Rehoming
Cane Blue Kennel does not accept returns for change of mind, lifestyle change, or personal circumstances. If the buyer is genuinely unable to continue caring for the dog, they must contact Cane Blue Kennel before rehoming or surrendering the animal to any shelter, rescue, or third party.
Cane Blue Kennel reserves the right of first refusal on any Cane Blue dog that is being rehomed. We will work with the buyer to find an appropriate new placement for the dog at no cost to either party.
Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances. In exceptional cases, a deposit may be transferred to a future litter at the discretion of Frank Bloebaum. This is not a right and must be agreed upon in advance in writing.
Animal Welfare
The buyer agrees to provide this dog with a life of dignity, appropriate stimulation, and humane treatment at all times. This dog may not be kept continuously chained, tethered, or otherwise confined in a manner inconsistent with its welfare.
If Cane Blue Kennel, at any time and at its sole discretion, determines that the dog is being abused, neglected, or kept in inhumane conditions, we reserve the right to reclaim the animal with no compensation to the buyer. This right persists for the lifetime of the animal.
The buyer agrees that the dog’s offspring — should any be produced in violation of this agreement — will never be sold to puppy mills, pet stores, or any commercial reseller for profit.
Liability & Limitations
Under no circumstances does Cane Blue Kennel accept liability for any medical expenses, veterinary fees, treatment costs, boarding costs, or any other expense related to the care or health of the puppy after it has left our premises.
This contract represents the entirety of the agreement between buyer and seller. No other warranties, guarantees, or representations — verbal or written — are binding beyond what is stated in this document.
Any breach of this contract by the buyer renders the entire agreement void, including all health guarantee provisions. Cane Blue Kennel’s sole remedy obligation under this contract is replacement of the puppy with a puppy of comparable value when one becomes available. This replacement will be offered once per original purchase.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
Agreement & Signatures
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions of this Purchase Agreement. This contract is legally binding upon execution.
Both buyer and seller must sign. A fully executed copy will be provided to both parties. This contract is valid only when signed by Frank Bloebaum on behalf of Cane Blue Kennel.
Health at Time of Sale
Every Cane Blue Show/Breed puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to sale and is certified to be in good health at the time of departure. Each puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and where applicable, microchipped.
The buyer must have the puppy examined by their own licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. This examination is mandatory to activate the health guarantee. A signed veterinary health certificate must be provided to Cane Blue Kennel within 5 business days of the examination.
Cane Blue Kennel assumes no responsibility for communicable disease contracted after the puppy leaves our care. Do not expose your puppy to unvaccinated dogs, dog parks, pet stores, or public dog areas until the vaccination series is fully complete.
Hip Dysplasia Guarantee
Cane Blue Kennel guarantees all Show/Breed puppies against moderate to severe Hip Dysplasia for 26 months from the date of birth. This guarantee is conditional on the buyer completing an OFA hip evaluation at approximately 24 months of age (and not within 2 months of a female’s heat cycle).
If OFA results indicate Moderate HD or worse, Cane Blue Kennel will replace the dog with a puppy of comparable value as soon as one becomes available. To activate this claim, the buyer must:
- 01 Submit official OFA papers including the dog’s microchip number
- 02 Submit a clear photograph (snapshot) of the X-ray
- 03 Have the dog spayed/neutered and submit verification
- 04 Return the dog’s original AKC registration papers to Cane Blue Kennel
- 05 Return the dog to Cane Blue Kennel in good health and unaltered condition
Cane Blue Kennel reserves the right to seek a second veterinary opinion before any replacement is issued. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning the dog and receiving the replacement puppy. Replacement will be offered once per original purchase only.
This guarantee is void if: the puppy has spent significant time in a crate with insufficient exercise; the buyer has overexerted the puppy before skeletal maturity; an inappropriate diet has been fed during the growth phase; or the buyer has failed to provide routine veterinary care.
Full Registration
Show/Breed puppies are sold on Full AKC Registration with full breeding rights. The puppy will carry the Cane Blue Kennel prefix on its registered name. All AKC registration paperwork will be provided to the buyer at the time of purchase or upon verification of health check completion.
ICCF (International Cane Corso Federation) registration may be available for select litters. Please discuss this with Frank Bloebaum directly during the reservation process.
Breeding Rights & Standards
The buyer agrees to breed this dog only to Cane Corsos of equal or superior quality — never to dogs of another breed, and never to Cane Corsos of inferior type, health, or temperament. Cane Blue will be happy to assist you in identifying appropriate breeding partners consistent with our bloodlines and standards.
Females may not be used for breeding purposes before 18 months of age. Overbreeding or breeding on consecutive cycles is prohibited and constitutes animal welfare neglect under this agreement.
No offspring of this dog may be sold to puppy mills, pet stores, commercial brokers, or any entity that will resell the puppies for profit. All offspring must be placed directly into approved homes by the buyer. Failure to comply is a breach of this agreement.
Cane Corso Puppy Buyer Responsibilities
The buyer agrees to provide the puppy with appropriate ongoing veterinary care for the duration of its life, including all necessary immunizations, annual wellness exams, and heartworm prevention.
The buyer agrees to feed a high-quality, protein-appropriate diet suitable for large-breed dogs throughout the growth phase. Rapid weight gain or inappropriate nutrition during the first 18 months can cause irreversible skeletal damage and will void the hip guarantee.
The buyer agrees not to overexert the puppy prior to structural maturity at 24–30 months. No forced long-distance running, repetitive jumping, or strenuous activities until the growth plates have closed.
Training, Socialization & Titling
The buyer agrees to enroll the puppy in a puppy kindergarten class and at least one obedience course within the first 18 months. For show-quality puppies, the buyer is encouraged — though not contractually required — to pursue AKC conformation titles consistent with the puppy’s quality.
This dog may not be used in any illegal activity of any kind. The buyer assumes full legal responsibility for the dog’s behavior after the date of purchase.
Stud Rights
Cane Blue Kennel reserves the right to use, at its sole discretion, any male dog bearing the Cane Blue name as a stud for Cane Blue’s breeding program. This right may be exercised at any time and there will be no financial compensation to the buyer for this use.
Cane Blue Kennel will coordinate the timing of any such use to be minimally disruptive and will cover all costs associated with the breeding itself. The buyer’s cooperation is required under the terms of this agreement.
Animal Welfare
The buyer agrees to provide this dog with a life of dignity, appropriate stimulation, and humane treatment at all times. This dog may not be kept continuously chained, tethered, or confined in inhumane conditions.
If Cane Blue Kennel determines at any time that the dog is being abused, neglected, or kept in conditions inconsistent with its welfare, we reserve the right to reclaim the animal without compensation. This right persists for the lifetime of the animal.
Liability & Limitations
Under no circumstances does Cane Blue Kennel accept liability for any veterinary fees, medical expenses, treatment costs, or any other expenses incurred after the puppy has left our premises.
This contract represents the entirety of the agreement. No other warranties or guarantees — verbal or written — are binding beyond what is stated in this document. Any breach of this contract by the buyer voids all guarantee provisions. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
